I haven't seen this myself, but I assume it has stylised violence and is not really suitable for kids.
Sunday the 31st of august: CFS Rooftop 16mm cinemascope special!

The Green Snake (1993)
by Tsui Hark
Sister snakes Green (Maggie Cheung) and White (Joey Wong) have managed to attain human form after centuries of practising sorcery. They seek to understand and be a part of humanity, and desire love and compassion in their new forms. But their entry into the human world upsets the natural order, and is not welcomed by all. Zealous Buddhists attempt to seek out and destroy the snakes, especially Fa Hoi (Vincent Zhao), a monk conflicted by forbidden earthly desires and his assigned spiritual mandate. Though the Snakes mean no harm to humanity, their presence invites the wrath of Heaven…

Curtains (1995)
by Stephanie and Mark Morgenstern
A glimpse into the behind-the-scenes reality of theatre production as an actress, after she's been dumped, confronts her internal turmoil in the 15 minutes before a show begins. The film, also known as Rideau in its french version, won awards for best script and direction at Yorkton and was a Genie nominee for Best Short. It has pretty much nothing in common with the feature except being shot in Cinemascope and presented in the 2.66:1 aspect ratio.

We're happy to have last-minute additions, but If you did not RSVP, we may be full and have no room for you, or you will end up sitting somewhere less comfortable. Please check in with us before coming. Thank you!
Is there popcorn? can I bring snacks?
Yes there is a popcorn machine, and yes please bring snacks and drinks to share. There is a little kitchen with mini fridge, stove, oven and microwave if needed.
Are there any age restrictions for screenings?
Age restrictions depend on the film being shown. Please refer to the specific event details or ask us for information about age suitability. The Green Snake is probably full of stylised violence and not suitable for children. Curtains has adult themes and will not be of interest to children either.
What safety measures are in place at the venue?
We're on a roof: there are guard rails all around the deck and walkways. No-one is allowed walking out onto the roof surface itself. There is an independent outdoor fire escape in addition to the building's internal stairs.

Why every other sunday?
Because I never want to conflict with the screenings of my buddy Philippe Spurell's Ciné-Club Film Society, which are on sundays every two weeks. He always picks such good films that I always want to be at his screenings! His specialty is screening exclusively on film, 16 and 35mm, and sometimes we collaborate, like those outdoor projections on the Cooper roof.
